Liposuction
Liposuction is an effective surgical method that allows for the correction of body contours without damaging the skin.
At the same time, it should be noted that liposuction is not a method of combating excess weight.
This method is used when there are localized fat deposits on the body due to the type of build, which disrupt the overall proportions of the body.
Fat accumulation occurs primarily in genetically determined areas (neck, inner armpits, “bison hump”, breasts, buttocks, abdomen, back, inner and outer thighs, and knees) and cannot be removed with diet therapy.
Modern research has shown that localized fat accumulation in these areas does not respond to stress hormones that trigger fat burning. This explains the ineffectiveness of attempts at body correction through dieting.
The distribution of adipose tissue depends on hereditary factors and gender. As a result of weight loss, the mass of adipose tissue decreases, but the contour of the body remains unchanged. Thus, liposuction is the optimal method of body correction.
The surgery is preferably performed under local anesthesia, although it can also be performed under general anesthesia. The duration of the surgery depends on the number of areas being liposuctioned.
After surgery, the patient wears special compression underwear for 3-4 weeks.
After surgery, every patient is individually prescribed a rehabilitation program, which helps them return to their usual rhythm of life.
