Liposuction
Liposuction is an effective surgical method that allows for body contour correction without skin damage.
It should be noted that liposuction is not a method for combating excess weight.
This method is used when there are localized fat deposits on the body due to body structure type, which disrupt the overall proportions of the body.
Fat accumulation primarily occurs in genetically predisposed areas (neck area, inner surfaces of the arms, “buffalo hump,” chest, buttocks, abdomen, back, inner and outer thighs, and knee area) and cannot be removed through diet therapy.
Modern research has shown that localized fat accumulation in these areas does not respond to stress hormones that cause fat burning. This explains the ineffectiveness of body correction attempts through weight loss.
The distribution of fatty tissue depends on hereditary factors and gender. As a result of weight loss, the mass of fatty tissue decreases, but the body contour remains unchanged. Thus, liposuction is the optimal method for body correction.
The operation is mainly performed under local anesthesia, although it can also be done under general anesthesia. The duration of the operation depends on the number of zones where liposuction is performed.
After the operation, the patient wears special compression garments for 3-4 weeks.
Following the operation, each patient is individually assigned a rehabilitation program, which helps them return to their normal life rhythm
